Tomefi is a focused PDF reader. The current version is designed to run locally in your browser and keep your reading data on your device.

Information stored on your device

When you use Tomefi, your uploaded PDFs, reading progress, zoom level, horizontal reading position, theme preference, likes, saves, comments, and display name may be stored in your browser using IndexedDB and local browser storage. This data is used to provide the reader experience and restore your preferences.

PDF files

In the current static version, uploaded PDFs are stored locally in your browser. Tomefi does not upload those PDFs to a Tomefi server. Clearing site data or using the in-app delete option can remove locally stored books and reading data.

Analytics

Tomefi uses Microsoft Clarity to understand aggregate usage, improve layout, and diagnose usability problems. Microsoft Clarity may collect usage, device, interaction, and session information, including clicks, scrolling, page visits, browser details, and approximate technical diagnostics. Tomefi uses this information to improve the product experience.

Do not upload documents containing sensitive personal, medical, financial, legal, or confidential information unless you accept the risks of browser-based reading tools and analytics. We configure analytics with privacy in mind, but you should treat uploaded documents as your responsibility.

Cookies

The current app does not use advertising cookies. Browser storage is used for reading functionality, and Microsoft Clarity may use cookies or similar technologies for analytics. If required in your region, use the site only after providing any required consent.
